Review: The Amazing Spider-Man Video Game Xbox360/Ps3 *review temporarily removed*

REVIEW REMOVED PER SPECIAL REQUEST. THE REVIEW WILL GO ONLINE AGAIN IN FEW DAYS. IN THE MEAN TIME I’M PLAYING THROUGH THE GAME.

I ALSO SUGGEST TO GO AND PRE-ORDER THE GAME BECAUSE THIS IS DEFINITELY THE BEST SPIDER-MAN GAME EVER MADE

PS: I am also rewriting the review, as those who read it misunderstood that i prefer Spider-man 2 more than this game, which is not the case, i only prefer Spider-man 2′s swinging mechanic. After playing the game non stop since yesterday, i can safely say that Beenox succeeded in capturing the essence of Spider-man.

Avengers EMH: S02E09 Nightmare in Red Review from Comicbookmovie

The 9th episode of the highly acclaimed Avengers EMH TV Series has aired in Australia a full month before the US. We watched the episode and lived to tell how it fares.

Nightmare in Red focuses and Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Visiting the Shield Hellicarrier, General Thunderbolt Ross (not seen since the season 1 micro episodes) demands Maria Hill access to the Hulk’s blood sample, which shield had in possession since the first season. While Ross is trying to convince the Shield director, as well as Doc Samson, a double agent (later confirmed to be the Winter Soldier) steals the blood sample and injects a shadowy figure with a modified version of Hulk’s blood, turning him into the Red Hulk.

Summoned by Hill, Captain “Skrull” America and The wasp confronts the Red monster, who Shield believe it is Bruce banner, even stating that the hulk started Grey so he can change colors again (a cool easter egg to Hulk fans) As the Red goliath is taking the hellicarrier apart, the Falcon (making his first appearance in the show as well) attacks the avengers mansion hoping to snatch a sedated Bruce Banner, but fails after Hawkeye intervenes. But before Clint realizes that Falcon is out of the picture, the Red Hulk shows up and abducts Banner.

Review: Ultimate Spider-man Ep 8 “Back in Black”

Reaching its 8th episode, the most fan-hated tv series on TV, Ultimate Spider-man, brings back Venom to the spotlight, with a twisted and new alter ego and origin. How does this episode fair? Keep reading to find out.

The story of this episode revolves around the appearance of a new Spidey in town. The black suited spider-man (who looks like Symbiote spider-man from the comics) is  doing the hero job, cleaning the city from villains and  been adored for it by the citizens of New York. In fact even J.Jonah Jameson, who hates spider-man, loved the new balck suited hero, and not even once, wondered if that is actually spider-man in a black suit, even though they have the same physical build.

Spidey, who seem to have a cold, is trying to find out who this new guy is, only to be surprised when his best friend, Harry Osborn, reveals to Parker that he is the new black suited spider-man, who seems to be in control of the symbiote. But of course he was mistaken, as soon enough the black goo takes over Harry and transforms him into Venom.

Review: Avengers:EMH S02 Ep06: “Michael Korvac”

The sixth episode of TV’s most praised animated series, The avengers Earth’s mightiest heroes, aired yesterday. The episode titled “Michael Korvac” pits the avengers in conflict with the guardians of the galaxy. So how did this episode fair? Keep reading to find out.

The story of the episode introduces Michael Korvac, a deranged, human being who appears in the middle of the city, naked, with nightmares and claims that Aliens abducted him and experimented on his body before he could escape. Having no clue what to do with the crazy looking individual, the cops take Michael to the Avengers (who are now recognized and admired by the public). Before the Avengers could find out what Korvac went through and what he can do, the peace keeping galactic force, the Guardians of the Galaxy, intervene to take Michael Korvac to Justice, for crimes against the galaxy.

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning and directed by, the late, Boyd Kirkland, “Michael Korvac” offers a fantastic story, with all the drama and twists that you expect from an intelligent show such as this one. The character of Michael Korvac is written in a way where you both hate him yet feel compassion as his story of tragedy and suffering is very well portrayed. It is funny that actually Michael Korvac who was just introduced has more back story, drama, and character development than the entire cast of Ultimate Spider-man after 7 episodes.

Review: Ultimate Spider-Man S01Ep07:”Exclusive”

Ultimate Spider-man is by far one of the most controversial shows of the last decade, many people are hating for what it is, going as far as posting their criticism on Jeph Loeb’s Facebook page as we reported couple of days ago (click here to read the full story). The 7th episode of the show aired yesterday. Titled “exclusive” the episode features the incredible hulk and the web head teaming up against ZzzaXx, a being of pure energy from the Hulk’s rogue gallery. So how did this episode fair? Keep reading to find out.

The story of the episode revolves around Hulk coming to town and smashing midtown New York. While first trying to stop the green goliath, Spider-man, who was in town been interviewed by Mary Jane, discovers that Hulk was in fact fighting Zzzaxx, and not just destroying the city. After some fun, amusing, moments between the two Marvel heroes, the two agreed to team up against the energy monster. After our heroes won( and spidey convinces S.H.I.E.L.D that Hulk was a hero not a villain) the episode ends with, what might be a controversial plot point, making Mary Jane land a freelance job with the Daily Bugle.

Review: Ultimate Spider-man Ep-6: “Why i hate the Gym”

Aired last sunday, the 6th episode of Ultimate Spider-man, titled “Why i hate the Gym”, pits the webhead against one of marvel universes’ most notorious assassin: The Taskmaster. So how did this latest episode fared? Keep reading to find out.

The Story of this episode revolves around  Doc Ock hiring Taskmaster to identify and capture Spider-man. Knowing that the webhead goes to midtown high, Taskmaster disguised himself as the new Gym teacher, while trying to analyze the student movements in order to discover Spider-man secret identity.

The story was written by “Man of Action”, the studio behind the famous animated shows “Ben 10″, “generation rex” and other. And while this series has so far showed an incompetence in presenting a coherent, well written episode, i would say “why i hate the gym” is simple enough to work as a coherent, yet very simple, plot. Taskmaster, who is having his first, ever, animated debut, is well written, and unlike Spider-man, his personality is spot on.
