Avengers EMH Officially Cancelled, to be replaced by Avengers Assemble

avengers assemble logo

Well it seems that the long running rumor for Avengers Earth’s Mightiest heroes cancellation, is a rumor no more! The cancellation has been confirmed by Marvel latest official Press(Print only):

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” won’t be renewed for the 3rd Season. Marvel Animation will present their newly developed series “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” in 2013.

The Press also contained the below Promo image of the upcoming Show:

The roster seems to be the movie roster plus the Falcon (Who is rumored to be part of Captain America movie sequel). The art, however, is very reminiscent of the currently running Avengers Assemble comics mini series

The series is rumored to be shown on Cartoon Network and not DisneyXD. Which sounds doubtful, since Disney owns Marvel, and is home for Ultimate Spider-man and the upcoming Hulk Agents of Smash.

According to our previous info coming from AgentX, Giant/Ant man and Black Panther will join the show down the line.

Expect to hear more info and maybe a trailer during next month’s San Diego Comic Con. Until then, we can all agree to mourn the great Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, for its premature cancellation.

UPDATED: Marvel replaces Josh Keaton’s voice in Avengers EMH with Drake Bell, fans outraged

Through the internationally aired episode of Avengers EMH, titled “Along came a spider”, which features a guest appearance of Spider-man, fans found out that Drake Bell (the voice of the currently running, and controversial among fans, Ultimate Spider-man) is voicing the webhead, instead of the initially rumored Josh Keaton (Voice of the critically acclaimed, and now cancelled Spectacular Spider-man).

To make things worse, Josh Keaton confirmed himself that he did the voice for the Avengers Cameo, but was later re-dubbed by Drake Bell.

Since it seems that most Marvel fans dislike Ultimate Spider-man cartoon, the news came as  a shock for those who were hoping to see Keaton’s, superb, rendition of the Wall Crawler after the, premature, end of the Spectacular Spider-man.

How do you feel about the last minute change to Avengers EMH voice cast? Let us know in the comments section.

UPDATE: It seems fans have taken their hate to this new to Twitter. Both #drakebellisnotspiderman and #joshkeatonisspiderman are showing what the fans think about this last minute re-dub

Avengers EMH: S02E09 Nightmare in Red Review from Comicbookmovie

The 9th episode of the highly acclaimed Avengers EMH TV Series has aired in Australia a full month before the US. We watched the episode and lived to tell how it fares.

Nightmare in Red focuses and Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Visiting the Shield Hellicarrier, General Thunderbolt Ross (not seen since the season 1 micro episodes) demands Maria Hill access to the Hulk’s blood sample, which shield had in possession since the first season. While Ross is trying to convince the Shield director, as well as Doc Samson, a double agent (later confirmed to be the Winter Soldier) steals the blood sample and injects a shadowy figure with a modified version of Hulk’s blood, turning him into the Red Hulk.

Summoned by Hill, Captain “Skrull” America and The wasp confronts the Red monster, who Shield believe it is Bruce banner, even stating that the hulk started Grey so he can change colors again (a cool easter egg to Hulk fans) As the Red goliath is taking the hellicarrier apart, the Falcon (making his first appearance in the show as well) attacks the avengers mansion hoping to snatch a sedated Bruce Banner, but fails after Hawkeye intervenes. But before Clint realizes that Falcon is out of the picture, the Red Hulk shows up and abducts Banner.

Rumor: Marvel Studios insider spills the bean regarding Ultimate Spider-man and Agents of S.M.A.S.H

Howdy folks,

We bring you a huge info regarding your favorite heroes adventures on the small screen. According to our source, who is an inder in Marvel Animation Studio, and shall remain anonymous, a lot of things are happening behind the curtains regarding Ultimate Spider-man, as well as some info regarding Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H

Now keep in mind this is to be taken with a grain of salt, since it is a rumor, however, this source is the same one who told me about Avengers EMH ending and a new avengers show taking its place, way before the forbes article that confirms the info. So i personally believe him.

Now onto the info itself:

- According to AgentX (my insider’s fictional alias) Marvel does know that fans are hating Ultimate Spider-man. In fact many Marvel Studios employees who are working on the show hate it. However, Marvel and Disney invensted a lot of money in it and will not be cancelling it anytime soon. Especially since many Marvel big guys believe the show is doing great (although the ratings have started dropping after episode 3 “Doomed”).

Exclusive Interview with Joshua Fine, Supervisor producer of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes

I got the chance, and the pleasure, to Chat with Avengers EMH supervisor producer, the talented Joshua Fine. Check out this exclusive interview where we talk about the past and current season as well as the show’s cancellation rumor:

1- First of all, Josh, i would like to thank you for this great opportunity, as it is an honor to be talking to one of the main guys who brought us, the excellent, avengers EMH TV series. Let us start about ahat was your job in the series?

I was the Supervising Producer of The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. That means that I was responsible for shepherding the production from its inception to its conclusion and overseeing all of the creative aspects of the show, from the writing, to the design, to storyboarding, voice acting, editing, sound design, visual fx, and more. I had a host of talented folks working under me, people like Story Editor Chris Yost and Supervising Directors Ciro Nieli and Frank Paur, and they had lots of talented folks working for them. Producing an animated series is a big, team effort, but I was sort of the guy with the broadest view of everything that was happening—trying to tie the whole thing together into one vision.

Review: Avengers:EMH S02 Ep06: “Michael Korvac”

The sixth episode of TV’s most praised animated series, The avengers Earth’s mightiest heroes, aired yesterday. The episode titled “Michael Korvac” pits the avengers in conflict with the guardians of the galaxy. So how did this episode fair? Keep reading to find out.

The story of the episode introduces Michael Korvac, a deranged, human being who appears in the middle of the city, naked, with nightmares and claims that Aliens abducted him and experimented on his body before he could escape. Having no clue what to do with the crazy looking individual, the cops take Michael to the Avengers (who are now recognized and admired by the public). Before the Avengers could find out what Korvac went through and what he can do, the peace keeping galactic force, the Guardians of the Galaxy, intervene to take Michael Korvac to Justice, for crimes against the galaxy.

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning and directed by, the late, Boyd Kirkland, “Michael Korvac” offers a fantastic story, with all the drama and twists that you expect from an intelligent show such as this one. The character of Michael Korvac is written in a way where you both hate him yet feel compassion as his story of tragedy and suffering is very well portrayed. It is funny that actually Michael Korvac who was just introduced has more back story, drama, and character development than the entire cast of Ultimate Spider-man after 7 episodes.
