Chris Yost On The Creative Process Of AVENGERS: EMH and the continuation of the series through the Comic

Chris Yost, the creative power behind the cancelled, awesome, Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes animated series was interviewed by Alex Lynch, from Comicbookmovie.com, where he explained some of the creative process that went into the production of the 52 episodes hit series, by answering some interesting questions, such as, why the masters of Evil were chosen as the first “main” antagonist to face the heroes, where Yost answered: “ The ‘equal and opposite’ villains are always fun, and we’re able to mix and match. There’s a lot of fun to having Captain America fight Crimson Dynamo, Hawkeye battling Enchantress and the Wasp against Abomination. They’re match-ups you don’t see every day. Plus, we were able to really have fun with the villains themselves. Nothing’s better than a team willing to kill and double cross each other in the blink of an eye. It highlights why the Avengers work so well. It’s more than just heroes fighting together. It’s about trust.”

Avengers EMH concludes this Sunday, Creators thank the fans for their support

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes has been one of the best Marvel animated series in years. The show had the essence and soul of the characters, with classic stories pulled right out of the comics. But all good things will have to end, and this Sunday will be it for Avengers EMH, as the Series finale will pit the the mightiest heroes against the world eater Galactus himself. The show creators and cast have created the below video, thanking the fans for their continuous support. Check it out:

Since we first broke the news, few months back, that this awesome show might get cancelled, to the confirmation by Marvel, Fans of the show have been highly vocal and supportive of EMH, proving to Marvel how much we all loved this series. RIP Avengers EMH, and we sure hope that Avengers Assemble(debuting next year) will be a true continuation to this series and that it succeeds to please the fans, much like Avengers Earth’s mightiest heroes did.

Fan’s outcry has been heard? Man of Action CONFIRMS that Avengers Assemble is a TRUE continuation of Avengers EMH !!!

Sure we all heard Mr Loeb mentioning it couple times, but we all doubted that Marvel’s upcoming Avengers Assemble animated series will be, really, a sequel to the soon to end, excellent, Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes. However, it now seems that, as fans, we jumped the gun. Man of Action(Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joseph Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle), who have recently been revealed as the Executive producers for the upcoming show, confirmed that Avengers Assemble will not contradict Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and while different in tone, it will serve as a TRUE continuation of the current show.

From Man Of Action: “It will continue much of what the movie started, it’ll be slightly different from Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. It’s really going to focus on the core characters… but it is not some kind of drastic change from Earth’s Mightiest Heroes into Marvel’s Avengers Assemble. Everything that’s established in [Earth’s Mightiest Heroes] and just running from that point on. It’s like Bendis’ Avengers going into Marvel NOW! Avengers… Everything that happened in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, we’re going to keep consistency from that, to the new show.”

SDCC: Test footage of Avengers Assemble description and more details about the show

At the Marvel Television panel, Jeph Loeb talked about how Avengers Assemble is the spritiual continuation of avengers EMH, and how the show is aimed at a broader audience than before (again confirming AgentX report).

Loeb then went ahead and showed a test footage of the show (again like agentx reported) and below is a description of the clip from Marvel’s Strommy:

We’re watching the animation test for Marvel’s Avengers Assemble now! This is the first time anyone outside of Marvel has seen this!
A giant dragon thing is tearing apart Manhattan, and Iron Man’s flying a Quinjet with the Avengers in it! Hulk just pushed Thor aside and told him “you’ll be lucky if there’s anything left to smash”, then jumped out before him
Hawkeye and Cap are flying in on mini jets!
Iron Man launches a barrage of missiles at the monster, knocking him down–but he’s still getting back up for Round Two!

No news regarding the release date of the series has been revealed.

Comicbookressources wrote the below description of what went down on this portion of the panel:

UPDATED: SDCC: Fans ask Joe Quesada and Loeb about the transition from avengers EMH to avengers Assemble

The Cup’o Joe SDCC panel is happening right now! The panel is a medium were fans get to ask Joe Quesada  (and Jeph Loeb in this case) any questions they want. One of the question was a bout the transition from avengers EMH to Avengers Assemble. Below is their answer as written by Marvel’s strommy (who is live blogging from the vent)

Strommy: Marvel’s Avengers Assemble will be a little closer to the film–they’re not saying Earth’s Mightiest Heroes! didn’t happen, it’s just the next generation in the Avengers cartoon’s evolution.

They’re not doing an origin of the Avengers–it’s akin to when Bendis created New Avengers. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes! will reach the conclusion of its story at the end of the 52 episodes, and that’s the conclusion they’ve known about and been building to.

More information should be revealed at the Marvel Television panel tomorrow. But for now what do you guys think of Quesada’s and Loeb’s answer ?

Keep checking MarvelTvnews for the latest news and announcements.

*UPDATE*

Comicbookressources posted their transcription of the Question and answer relating to the topic. Read it below:
