While some of us are still working on believing the news that broke out hours ago, regarding a SHIELD tv series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Series writer/and potential Director, Joss Whedon, appeared Tuesday night at the Writers Guild Theater and revealed that the storyline for the proposed series will be largely “autonomous” from the “Avengers” sequel feature that is also in the works. He also stated that The series will revolve around the activities of the top-secret S.H.I.E.L.D organization featured in “Avengers.”
Whether the series will deal with other superheroes besides the avengers, remains to be seen. But a TV Series of this magnitude, can be the perfect medium to introduce new superheroes that are more obscure to the genral audience (Heroes for hire come to mind).
