Alright folks this is major news!
It seems the rumor that Marvel is making a live action series set in the Avengers Movie Continuity has been confirmed. According to Deadline, ABC networks has greenlit the concept of the Series and has even ordered a Pilot.

The series is tentatively titled ” S.H.I.E.L.D” and will be written and directed by the Avengers Movie director’ Joss Whedon, as long as other collaborators such as Joss’s own brother Jed and Maurissa Tancharoen. Work on the series is said to start immediately, with possibility of Joss directing the pilot.
