Through the internationally aired episode of Avengers EMH, titled “Along came a spider”, which features a guest appearance of Spider-man, fans found out that Drake Bell (the voice of the currently running, and controversial among fans, Ultimate Spider-man) is voicing the webhead, instead of the initially rumored Josh Keaton (Voice of the critically acclaimed, and now cancelled Spectacular Spider-man).
To make things worse, Josh Keaton confirmed himself that he did the voice for the Avengers Cameo, but was later re-dubbed by Drake Bell.
Since it seems that most Marvel fans dislike Ultimate Spider-man cartoon, the news came as a shock for those who were hoping to see Keaton’s, superb, rendition of the Wall Crawler after the, premature, end of the Spectacular Spider-man.

It would be one thing if they couldn’t get Keaton but to redub him is horrible.

I am so angry about this. Not only was this done without the consent of any of the show’s creators; Chris Yost, Josh Fine, the voice director, and Josh Keaton were not even told. But this was one of the last episodes done by Chris Yost and Josh Fine before control was handed over to Jeph Loeb. He should have respected what they were doing, because it was something they know fans would love. Instead Jeph Loeb just dubs over Josh last minute with the voice actor from his crappy show he’s trying to pimp.
So disappointed in the folks at Marvel Animation. I want to see the episode as it was intended by the people who worked on it. Not by Loeb and Quesada and whomever’s decision it was to hack it last second without telling anyone.

Clearly, Marvel has finally learned to make movies but have lost the grasp they had on cartoons. Ultimate is horrific and then they cut these people out and insert new people in which cost extra money AND the fans hate it. Good job, Loeb, you blew it again!
Next up, he will totally Lucas the whole thing and retro dub Bell’s horrible screechy voice into every incarnation of Spidey. This is just sad.

I enjoy them both.. XD i am sad because the story was going on that josh was going to. so yeah i am sad but i wont hate drake..it falls on the voice director or someone else . i guess in a way to push the show most likely. also maybe josh couldn’t work on all of them. i dunno it happens.. it just i was looking forward to josh..since it was pointed that he was going to do the cameo XD its all good XD dont hate.
